vivo ‘s new foldable phone, X Fold Plus, is here. New colour and chipset for foldable phone. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 offers 30% less power consumption and 10% more performance. Let’s examine the phone’s specs.

The phone’s battery is bigger than its predecessor’s. It has 4,730mAh. 80W wired charging is supported. Wireless charging is 50W.

The X Fold Plus has the same 8″ folding display (4:3.55) and 1-120Hz LTPO panel as the original. Other screen is 6.53″ Both screens have fingerprint readers. The hinge is useful for multimedia and video calls. vivo adjusted the speakers to provide clear communication.

A Familiar Foldable

The same is true elsewhere. 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED external display (120Hz, 21:9) and 8.03-inch 2,160 1,916 foldable screen (120Hz, 4:3.55). Both displays use an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Vivo’s phone has a multi-stop hinge so you can tilt the screen, like Samsung’s Flex Mode.

The new foldable uses the same camera as the original, which was based on the Vivo X80 Pro. 50MP Samsung GN1 main camera, 48MP ultrawide (114-degree field-of-view), 12MP 2x, and 8MP 5x periscope lens. There’s no micro-gimbal stabilization, but the primary and periscope sensors include OIS. Both screens have 16MP selfie cameras.

Other Vivo X Fold Plus features include 50W wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.2, an IR blaster, a tactile alert slider, and Wi-Fi 6. Expect no IP rating, unlike Samsung’s IPX8 foldables.

The improved foldable is now only available in China and costs 9,999 yuan ($1,397) for 12GB/256GB. 12GB/512GB costs 10,999 yuan ($1,537). We’ll update the article with Vivo’s response.
