No one in the watch business foresaw Apple Watch’s success. In April 2015, Apple marketed the watch as attractive jewellery. Apple rapidly realised that the wearable sold both as part of its ecosystem and as a separate item. Apple ceased selling the smartphone in high-end jewellers and focused on carriers and department shops.

Wearable’s health-related features helped sell it. Now, the most popular watch in the world is the Apple Watch. Yes, the it sells more than any other watch on the planet. Since Timex has been around since 1854, it has seen a lot of changes in the wristwatch market.
