Google rolls out an update for the Pixel buds app that provides hints regarding the Pixel Buds Pro.
The Pixel Buds app is getting version 1.0.474476083, according to 9to5Google. Code in this version hints at a new equaliser and volume balance for Pixel Buds Pro.
Earlier last summer, a report said the Pixel Buds Pro could get a five-band EQ this year. We’re beginning to see that as 9to5google has identified five EQ options: Low Bass, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Upper Treble in the newest app’s update code.
Since third-party EQ apps weren’t guaranteed to operate with Pixel Buds Pro, this feature should’ve debuted with the product. It’s something we wish we had when reviewing Pixel Buds Pro. One of the few issues we had with the earbuds. Users may soon be able to unleash the full potential of one of the best wireless earbuds with varied sound options and adjustments.
9to5google also found references to an option that’ll enable users modify the volume balance of the buds using a slider – moving it to the left will raise the left side’s loudness while lowering the right’s, and vice versa.
The Pixel Buds app cites these settings, so they may be arriving soon. Why such simple functions have taken so long to implement is a mystery, but we shouldn’t have to wait much longer.
