Samsung introduced the One UI 5.0 beta programme for the Galaxy S21 in South Korea a few weeks after updating the Galaxy S22. Now, the Galaxy S21 series in the UK has this big software upgrade.
In the UK, the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are getting the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta upgrade. The firmware upgrade is G99xBXXU5ZVHE and 1,957.47MB. Unlocked Galaxy S21 cellphones can update.
One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy S21 series should be similar to what’s on the Galaxy S22. In addition, the upgrade is based on Android 13 and adds improvements and new functionality.
However, Samsung’s “Color Palette” gets more options, certain apps get new icons, privacy and security get upgrades, and Samsung’s OCR features get a boost amid competition from Google and Apple.
The second One UI 5.0 beta for the Galaxy S22 brought a “Smart Suggestions” widget and “Privacy Detection.” Moreover, Samsung’s software can instantly detect if a user is ready to transfer sensitive photos and warn them.
The Android 13 beta update will bring new features and upgrades to the S21, such as the option to modify lock screen wallpapers, personalised call backdrops for all of your contacts, and spacebar row customisation for Samsung Keyboard.
The camera app has been updated to allow one-finger zooming, returning to Photo mode, and using the telephoto camera in Food mode. Furthermore, improved camera filters and storytelling.
This update also includes new emojis. However, the beta will introduce new emojis, AR emojis, kaomoji, and emoji backgrounds.
