Everyone creates material nowadays. Your smartphone is the key to developing your next project, whether for Instagram or TikTok. Underneath the Honor 70’s vlogging software lies a solid midrange phone. As announced at Honor’s IFA address, pre-orders for a new affordable Android tablet start today.
Price and Availability
The Honor’s 70 series debuted on May 30 and started on sale in China on June 7.
Honor had a London event on 25 August 2022 and announced the Honor’s 70 is coming to the UK, but not the 70 Pro or 70 Pro+. Pre-orders begin on August 26 and official sales begin on September 2.
Here’s how much the phones cost in China, so we can estimate how much they’ll cost overseas:
- 2,699 (£320/€375/$405/31,500).
- 3,699 (£440/€515/$555/43,000).
- Honor 70 Pro+: £510/€600/$645/50,000.
The Honor’s 70 and 70 Pro cost the same as their Honor 60 counterparts, thus the business hasn’t raised costs.
In the UK and Europe, the Honor 70 will cost:
- £479.99/€549 Honor 70 8GB/128GB
- £529.99/€599 Honor 70 8GB/256GB
Even at the lowest price, that’s a significant markup from the nearly £320 it sells for in China, but this is common in smartphone regional pricing trends.
Honor, Argos, Currys, Amazon, and Very will sell the 128GB model, while Vodafone and Three will sell the 256GB model.
Honor 70 Specs
Unsurprisingly, Honor is placing a huge emphasis on its cameras. 54MP “Super Sensing” IMX800 camera, 50MP ultra-wide and macro lens, 2MP depth sensor. Sony’s 1/1.49-inch sensor isn’t the largest we’ve seen, but it should compete with premium phones. Early findings from the Honor 70 seem promising, especially with its excellent dynamic range, but we’ll need additional tests. The device’s front has a 32MP hole-punch camera.
The Honor’s 70 isn’t a flagship, but its specs are impressive. Its 6.67″ 2400x1080p OLED display is basic, although running at 120Hz is nice. While it’s not Qualcomm’s newest chipset, it’s more than enough for content creation and most mobile games. 8GB RAM and 256GB storage are included.
With a starting price of €549, the Honor’s 70 may be too expensive for some buyers. Honor’s vlogging tactics may sway some, but the Nothing Phone 1 costs €100 less and has the same chipset. Black, silver, and green colours are available in various European countries today.
