Discount on Google Pixel 6 Pro: According to a blogpost by Android police, they mentioned that Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are old news for Google. For now, the Pixel 6a has its moment before the Pixel 7 phones replace it. So it goes. It’s also a good time to look for Pixel deals, but you’ll have to do it in person.
On the r/GooglePixel subreddit (via 9to5Google), people have posted about finding a 128GB Pixel 6 Pro in Stormy Black on final markdown for 70% off. It goes from $900 MSRP to $270 impulse buy. Such stickers have been seen in Florida, Georgia, and Massachusetts.
The situation varies by Target, so don’t assume you’ll find them everywhere. One redditor claiming to be an employee says the chain has four markdown tiers: 15%, 30%, 50%, and 70% off. The only reason they mark down stock is because the store wasn’t “supposed to have it in the first place.” They say not to call about Pixel 6 Pro stock. Another self-identified employee says stores have different stock. Their store carried Pixel 6, not 6 Pro.
Before leaving, look for stores with low inventory (two or one unit). Low stock is only an indicator of a low price. If you visit Target, be polite to the salespeople.
We’re not surprised retailers are clearing shelves for the Pixel 7. Some cheeky people have suggested that those who snag a bargain here can trade up to the newer phone on release day. We don’t recommend it.
