The One UI 4.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 came out yesterday. It put out another software update for the foldable phone today. This time, the update includes the security patch for September 2022.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3’s latest software update brings its firmware version to F711BXXS2CVHF. Europe is getting the new software update, and all of the countries in the area should start getting it in the next few days. In a couple of weeks, the update could be sent to other parts of the world.
This update includes certain Google Android OS patches, but most fixes are Galaxy-specific. Samsung found weaknesses in Photo Editor, Video Editor, System UI, Call Background Provider, and Telecom Application. The corporation hid several patches for security reasons, to prevent exploitation before users installed them.
If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Galaxy Z Fold 3 in Europe, you should get the September SMR soon. Once available, you’ll be requested to download the OTA update. You may manually check for OTA updates in Settings under Software update. Other markets will shortly get this upgrade.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 September security upgrade comes days after One UI 4.1.1. This is the company’s latest Android-based software. OCR (optical character recognition) allows you extract text from photos. It debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 last month. New gestures, an enhanced Samsung Keyboard, and other improvements included.
Samsung has seeded One UI 4.1.1 to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Tab S8, and Galaxy Tab S7. Android 12L was updated on tablets and Fold devices. It added a persistent taskbar and other features for big screens. If you haven’t received One UI 4.1.1 yet, you will soon.
