As the October 6 debut date of the Google Pixel 7 series approaches, more leaks are coming, and it’s not good.
Multiple rumours suggest the phones are near-doppelgangers of the Pixel 6 family, which makes sense if you watched Google IO 2022 and saw the earliest hints.
Pixel 7 will be one of the last big smartphone debuts of 2022, following the iPhone 14 range. This article covers everything confirmed by Google concerning the Pixel 7 series, as well as leaks and rumours.
After that, we have a wish list of features and upgrades we want the Pixel 7 (and Pixel 7 Pro) to include. We’ll update this post as we learn more, so bookmark it.
Google Pixel 7 Specs and features
The Pixel 6 series zoom numbers have been increased, but the back cameras haven’t changed. The same 50MP sensor that produced 7x Super Res Zoom on the Pixel 6 can accomplish 8x on the Pixel 7. Pixel 7 Pro’s 6x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom will outperform the Pixel 6 Pro’s 4x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom. Review units will spark more camera comparisons.

Display size and memory options have been reported. Both phones will have “Movie Motion Blur,” which mimics iPhones’ Cinematic Mode. Pixel 7 Pro has Macro Focus.
Leaked adverts from SnoopyTech on Twitter show these two functionalities in action (via 9to5Google). According to the Pixel 7 Pro commercial, “Movie Motion Blur” will be called Cinematic Blur. It may disgrace the Pixel 6’s Action Pan. The ads appear to follow a Google YouTube ad’s themes.
Yes, the Pixel Watch has its own leaked ad. Calls, NFC payments, and smart home appliance control are highlights.

Another post on Google News on Telegram, probably from the same source, shows off Pixel Watch marketing materials from a Taiwanese carrier, including confirmation of 24-hour battery life and a “What’s in the box” graphic with two band sizes and a magnetic charging dock with USB-C port.
I have a feeling the next three days will be action-packed.
