Motorola didn’t offer a foldable phone last year, and Oppo and Xiaomi limited their phones to China, giving Samsung an easy win. The Huawei P50 Pocket launched a few weeks before the Galaxy Z Flip 3, but it was a formidable challenger.
Lenovo was set to debut the RAZR 2022 and X30 Pro last week, however the event was delayed owing to China-Taiwan-US tensions. The debut will be on August 11, a day after the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Most Motorola RAZR 2022 specs have been disclosed.

The RAZR 2022’s primary camera has a 1/1.55-inch sensor, OIS, and 1m pixels (2m with 4-in-1 pixel binning). It sports 13MP ultrawide autofocus camera (for macro shots). The foldable phone’s punch-hole selfie camera has 32MP.
The new RAZR phone has the same processor as the Galaxy Z Flip 4. 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage. Its 3,500mAh battery is less than the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s (3,700mAh), but it has superior cameras and a nicer screen.
Price
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 costs $999, which is $100 more than the Moto Razr 2022 ($890). The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is better, despite being pricier. Its excellent display (LTPO panel) can reduce refresh rate to 1Hz to save power. Its battery is larger, has improved software support, and IPX8-rated. The Razr 2022’s global launch date is unknown.
