Google has confirmed it will debut the Pixel 7 series this fall but has released little details. A recent leak reveals details about the phones’ cameras and hints at a second Pixel phone. Details follow.
Pixel 7, 7 Pro Camera Details
The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will use a Samsung GN1 sensor for the 50MP primary camera and a Sony IMX381 sensor for the ultra-wide lens, like the Pixel 6 phones.
On both phones, the front camera uses an 11MP Samsung 3J1 sensor, not a Sony IMX sensor. It’s dual-pixel. Instead of a Sony IMX586 sensor, the Pixel 7 Pro will use a Samsung GM1 telephoto lens. This switch allows equivalent camera outputs from one manufacturer’s sensors.
The leak also suggests another high-end Pixel phone with the undisclosed Sony IMX787 sensor for the ultra-wide or telephoto lens. The main camera is similar to Pixel 7 models. “Lynx L10” is likely to have a 13MP selfie camera with a Sony IMX712 sensor. Google is introducing new sensors. We don’t know if or when this device will be released.

- The Google Pixel 6a display 90Hz with this mod
Pixel 7 series speculated to have same display specs as Pixel 6 series. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro have 90Hz and 120Hz Samsung displays. The vanilla model could be smaller, but the Pro model should be the same size. Design modifications, a new Tensor chip, battery advancements, and more are also mentioned.
Leaks from Fancy foldable
The Pixel tablet and foldable phone are also covered. The tablet could use a Sony IMX355 sensor and an 8MP front camera like the Pixel 6. Foldable Pixel phone could have Pixel 6 camera. The Pixel foldable phone has apparently been delayed, so we don’t know if it will launch
Wojciechowski, the leaker also uncovered information regarding the upcoming Pixel Tablet, which would have two IMX355 selfie cameras. He also discussed a “P7,” possibly the Pixel Foldable. It’s unknown which lenses will go where, but he has a list of hardware. Pixel’s GN1 sensor for the main camera, IMX363, ultrawide IMX386, and IMX355, likely the selfie camera.
Take any code-based leaks with a grain of salt. The leaker admits his details may not be correct or may change before debut. This is true for the three Pixel devices leaked alongside the 7 and 7 Pro. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will likely be released in the fall, so we won’t have to wait long to learn more.
Since the above details are leaks, we must wait for official information. We’ll update you.
