Huawei used the IFA 2022 tech festival in Berlin to show off a bunch of new gadgets for markets outside of Germany. Since it’s been illegal in the US, the Chinese technology business has taken a big hit. Huawei used to be the biggest smartphone company in the world, but now it wants a piece of the pie even in its own country. Even without Google services, the tech company is still very interested in selling new phones in other countries. This week at IFA 2022, Huawei is releasing two new phones, the Nova 10 and the Huawei Nova 10, as well as a wearable health device called the Huawei Watch D. This adds to the number of Huawei gadgets that are available around the world.
Despite these big failures, Huawei has kept making smartphones for its own country, the countries around it, and international markets like Europe. This week at IFA 2022, Huawei is releasing two new phones, the Nova 10 and the Nova 10, as well as a wearable device called the wellness Watch D. This increases the number of Huawei devices that are available around the world.
Nova Nova 10
Huawei claims the Nova 10 is ideal for photography, especially selfies, with its 60MP ultra-wide-angle front-facing camera. The Nova 10 Pro has a second 8MP portrait camera on the front, a notable difference between the normal and Pro variants.
Both variants contain a 50MP f/1.9 primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Standard Nova 10 has a 6.67-inch 2400 x 1080 OLED screen, while Pro has a 6.78-inch 2652 x 1200 screen.
Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro use a 6nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and 8GB RAM. The base model has a 4,000mAh battery and 66W quick wired charging. The Pro model has a 4,500mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging. These two smartphones utilize Huawei’s EMUI 12, based on Android 10.
Huawei Watch D
Huawei Watch D debuted in China last December. The business is introducing the smartwatch to Europe, although pricing and availability are unknown. The Watch D can track blood pressure, ECG, and SpO2. This allows the manufacturer to sell it as a recognized medical device across Europe. Huawei says the Watch GT3 Pro will get ECG in Europe.
The Watch D has a 1.64-inch AMOLED screen, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 451mAh battery that can last 7 days with average use. It has a black fluoroelastomer strap in big and medium sizes.
Huawei MatePad X Pro
Huawei MatePad Pro has 11-inch and 12.6-inch screens. Both models include 120Hz OLED displays, making them among the best tablets available. The Huawei M Pencil works with the tablets.
The MateBook X Pro has a 12th-generation Intel Core processor and a shiny matte appearance. Huawei oxidized aluminium alloys for a robust, lightweight chassis, bringing the overall weight to 2.7 lbs.
Huawei touts the MateBook X Pro’s 14.2-inch 3.1K FullView display and “most sophisticated touchpad ever” Huawei’s Shark Fin Fan cools the notebook.
