The hues and names of the chips match the Pixel 7 colors Google teased in May. Snow Cheese resembles the Snow color, Hazel Onion the Hazel color, Salty Lemon the Lemongrass variation, and Obsidian Pepper the dark Obsidian color.
In a recent tweet, Google confirmed that its next hardware event will be on October 6th. We expect Google to introduce the Pixel Watch, its first wristwatch, with the Pixel 7 series and reveal the second-generation Tensor chip, “Tensor G2.”
We know a lot about the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, including their colors. Snow, Obsidian, and Lemongrass are available for the Pixel 7. Hazel is available with a gold visor for the Pixel 7 Pro.
We expect the Pixel 7 to be thinner and include an under-display camera than the Pixel 6. Display researcher Ross Young says the Pixel 7 display will be 6.3 inches, while the Pixel 7 Pro will be 6.7 inches. That’s wonderful news for Pixel 6a fans.
The second-generation Tensor chip, Tensor G2, should offer improved processing capability and power efficiency. Google promises “useful, tailored features for images, videos, security, and speech recognition.”
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will launch on October 6 at the next Made by Google event. I’ll consider Hazel based on “Hazel Onion” potato chip taste.
