If you’re waiting for a better PS5 prices discount, we have terrible news. Sony stated on PS Blog that the PS5 prices will increase more in certain locations. Videogame giant lists Europe, Middle East, Africa, Pacific Asia, Latin America, and Canada. In all these regions, shops can implement new prices. So, no PS5 discount.
The state of the global economy is a problem that many of you around the world are probably facing. We are seeing high inflation rates and bad currency trends around the world, which hurts consumers and puts pressure on many industries. SIE has made the hard decision to raise the recommended retail price (RRP) of PlayStation 5 in certain markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), and Canada. In the United States, prices will not go up.

European pricing was €399 and €499 respectively. The UK price was $359 and $449.
Several markets in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM not included here could also see price spikes (referring consumers to their local retailers). The US won’t see a price increase, though.
Sony justified the price hike for other locations by citing high global inflation and bad currency trends.
